We arrived at the hotel 30 minutes after check-in time and our room was not ready. They told us it would be another 30 minutes. They gave us another room to get ready in (we had a wedding to go to). When our room was ready they called us to come down and get the key. So we had to pack up all of our stuff, bring it down to the lobby and then take it all back up to our new room. They never offered to bring up our new room key or help us carry our stuff. ...read more

Outside of building is somewhat deceptive of sophisticated interior and rooms. On side restaurant, Houlihans, is convenient. Very near highway, but far enough for no noise. Nicest hotel in Springfield for me. ...read more

Family with Young Children
Excellent location with clean facilities. The chair was broken, and almost collapsed when my wife sat down. They informed us they did not have a replacement for the chair. We were given a free dinner for our problems with the chair, but the server in the cafe almost did not take our voucher. Double Tree has not owned this property long and it is obvious they are upgrading.
